  1. What is your initial budget on a keyword purchase? Do you have a keyword for every post? For every blog? How often do you increase your budget on a keyword?

    1. I do not purchase keywords. I do not use Adwords for advertising. I only use the planner to pick the keywords I will use in a post, and yes, I have keywords for every post because otherwise, what is the point? You cannot find where you are going without a map. Keywords are the map by which new readers can find you.

  2. When I try to use google adwords it asks me to set up my first campaign and how much is my daily budget and to create a text? This does not seem right. Can you help? I am at adwords.google.com

    1. You can put in the information for a campaign but not run the campaign. I think that is what I did.

  3. same is happening here. Do you have to go through the whole process – enter bank info, etc. to get to the planner?

    1. Yes, but they will not charge you. Just set up a pretend campaign and never activate it. Eventually, they stop asking you about it.

  4. thank you for this descriptive information. Having gone through it, the Adwords keywords tool is not providing any option for phrase search and exact search.
Any other tool to find phrase keywords ?

    Thanks

    1. Have you tried HitTail and/or SEMRush? You can read more about them in this post: Writing Content to Produce a Profit

  5. Ever wonder what keywords people are using to actually land on your website? With Google Analytics, you can find out exactly that. This video walk-through shows you how.

  6. That was a great article.I learn lot of new things about keyword research. Thanks for sharing.

  7. i found right post ,i learned a lot from this post…. its giving full information

  8. I’m using KW Planner to maximize keyword pool and then Serpstat for semantic expansion. IMHO Keyword Planner could’ve set few more filters but we still can’t do without it:)

  9. Good video. But on your videos you have exact volume for keywords. Right now, first time users, can’t see exact numbers for volume, but only 1k-10k. I wrote about these problems and how to fix them here – https://kparser.com/alternative-google-keyword-planner/
